"After discussing the excitement of New Connections in the Synod, Nancy Ann and I decided to get the ball rolling with a $25,000 commitment. We think its a great way to grow the church that we love into the future." ~ Bishop Richard Graham
The plan includes $2.5 million worth of initiatives to connect at least 3,000 new people to our congregations.
Who will be asked to contribute?
The campaign will be conducted across the Metropolitan D.C. Synod. Member congregations, identified individual leaders, foundations and others interested in the ministry of the Synod will be invited to contribute. Congregations are asked not to give through their congregation budget.
What am I asked to financially consider for this campaign?
Congregations and individuals are asked to respond, as able, with a three- to five-year campaign commitment to this effort, on a schedule convenient to the donor. One-time contributions and gifts made over a shorter time frame are certainly welcome.
How much of my gift supports the initiatives
100% of gifts to the New Connections Campaign will fund projects. Expenses related to the campaign are covered through other funding sources. Contributions received in excess of $2.25 million will support new ministry starts and revitalizing ministries.
How do I make a gift?
Intent forms will be provided for donors to indicate their support. Contributions are sought in the form of cash, appreciated marketable securities, land or other assets that can be readily converted to cash. If you would like to make a non-cash gift, please contact email@example.com, for transfer and broker information.
