Saturday, September 16, MetroDC ELCA New Connections team held led by Rev. Phil Hirsch and Christy Hartigan and supported by Katharyn Wheeler held the first E-vent as part of Developing Leaders training! 70 people participated in how to connect with new people, specifically, how to "Invite, BLESS and HOLD ON" to new people. The training was dynamic from the moment the attendees arrived at Christ the King Lutheran Church (Great Falls, VA)! Bev Adams and Leah Zapata from Christ Church, (a United Methodist congregation in Fairfax, VA) demonstrated radical, irrational hospitality!
